Tubulatus
Tubulatus is a fashion design and video project enabling three tactile interpretations to become alive through the evocation of a contortionist. Based on the bestseller “Fatal Dress” and the emerging C2C-strategy at Wolford AG the work revolves around the possible afterlife of the products. The pieces are mainly created on diverse analog knitting machines and the different ductilities of the material allow the silhouettes to change according to the movement of the body inside. The moving sculptures are transformed into some otherworldly creatures through animation in post-production and the microscopic footages of the textiles create a mysterious abstract universe around them.

This semester project on the 6th semester at UdK was my first collaboration with the fashion industry where I could use my skills as a tailor to communicate the vision and got the chance to collaborate closely with the experienced knitwear engineers at Wolford AG
